Airave works as billed

This product works as billed. Had one in service for when it comes to a year. Incredible signal in the specified area in a building where tower coverage was / is a problem. Could not be happier with the product and an added gain is that the minutes that you use when talking thru the Airave do not cumulate as min. employed on your cell plan.

Works great, now my house is a WiFi Hotspot!

First the caveat: Order this product ONLY if you need better phone coverage at home and have DSL internet from your cable or phone company. This box will only work to amp up your phone coverage by using your internet connection.

My story: After 3 weeks of waiting for Sprint to ship me a “free” Airave, I gave up and ordered one through Amazon. As it worked out, this was a good move since I was capable to get it fast (thanks Mr. Reseller!) and contact Sprint Tech Support.

This is the indispensable part: the Airave box was when it comes to a year old and the Sprint Tech Support number on the label was incorrect. If you are a Sprint customer, just call *2 on your mobile phone and get to tech aid on a free call. You may want to plug your phone into the power cord as it took the tech when it comes to 20 minutes to provision the Airave box.

Another tip: Call Sprint first, tell them that you are only getting “1 Bar” coverage in your home and that you were told by a tech person that Sprint offers the Airave for free. This is unfeigned as it is what I was told. The catch is that you may not get the box. The good news is if you wait two weeks, buy the Airave, then call SPrint, they will have a record of your call and set it up over the phone – without charge!

Airave V2 is a great solution

I have the Airave V2, not the Airave V1 which this is.

I tried a cell phone repeater, and failed. After that, I talked to sprint and ordered my Airave V2. I can’t say sufficient good things when it comes to this device. I now get full, 3g service in my entire house. The setup was very easy, altho slow. The device took closely 2Hours to configure the Mobile part of it is setup process. I didn’t have to be present for any of that, but it was ruff waiting for it to finish. Once it finished, I’ve been not one thing but smiles.

Also, you may configure the device to run as a DMZ host on your router, and have it sit behind your router, not in front of it. The device seems to work perfectly in this configuration. The Airave V2 says you need 5k up and down to work right, sprint says it is someplace closer to 40k up and down. I strongly commend you believe sprint. I have well over 40k a second, and the voice quality is perfect.
